Principal and FounderProperty and facility management were part of Dean Coe’s early career as Director of Sandy Island, N.H.’s 66 acre island on Lake Winnipesaukee and later as Director of the Baird Center in Plymouth, MA.

In 1983 he founded Dean M. Coe Associates, a Boston based executive recruitment practice specializing in real estate. He was retained to recruit portfolio, asset and property managers for owners, investors and managers of large domestic and international portfolios. In addition, he was hired by the Peabody Essex Museum, The New England Aquarium, The Aquarium of the Pacific and the MFA to provide senior project managers for their multi-million dollar capital expansion projects. He served on the Board of Directors of Boston’s Building Owners and Managers Association, the Greater Boston Real Estate Board and the Real Estate Finance Associatiion.

In 2003, winding down a twenty year career in recruiting he began a career in Cape Cod real estate sales first with the Cape’s largest regional firm and then with Sotheby’s International Real Estate. Coe Concierge was launched to provide property oversight for buyers of Cape vacation and investment properties.

A thirty year Cape resident, Dean has served as a trustee or board director of numerous organizations including Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, The Sandwich Public Library, The Community Bank and the Cape and Islands United Way. He was a founder of the Sandwich Chamber of Commerce. He has completed the 40 hour Citizen’s Police Academy.  His greatest “property management” claim to fame is as founder and Chairman of the Sandwich Boardwalk Reconstruction Committee whose work was recently recognized by National Geographic for being one of the top ten boardwalks in the U.S.

His avocations include leading kayaking tours on Cape Cod tributaries and writing children’s books. Author of the Chesterton series, his first book, Chesterton Keeps His Town Jumping is a story about the iconic Sandwich Boardwalk and a rite of passage.
